Core Values

Christ–Likeness

We believe that in and through all things, God is working to conform us to the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ. Therefore, we design, support and encourage ministries that not only educate but seek to transform our thinking and behavior, our attitudes and our motives to be more like Christ.
We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. —2 Corinthians 3:18

Godly Leadership
We believe godly leadership is a noble calling that results in blessing to the church. We also recognize that ungodly leadership can cause serious harm. Therefore, we select our leaders carefully. They must be humble servants, able to model as well as teach. Appropriate gifts, training, and skills are important, but never at the expense of spiritual maturity and personal integrity.
If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach… —1 Timothy 3:1-2

Biblical Preaching and Teaching
We believe God has revealed His redemptive plan through the Bible. It is God’s design-manual, instructing us in how to live joyful, meaningful lives. It is through His written Word that Christ, the living Word, teaches and transforms us. Therefore, we seek to communicate the message of the Bible with clarity, relevance and accuracy in a manner that ministers grace while encouraging obedience.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work…. Preach the Word. —2 Timothy 3:16, 4:2

Praise and Worship
We believe that we were created to worship and praise God. Therefore, we celebrate God’s supremacy through individual and corporate worship, using the best in contemporary worship forms while continuing to appreciate the historic hymns of our faith.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. —Psalm 29:2

God’s Grace and Compassion
We believe it is by God’s grace through our faith that He saves and adopts us into His family. And by His grace alone we live and mature as His children. Therefore, we seek to be channels of God’s grace and compassion as we seek to save the lost and encourage each other to holiness and good works.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. —Ephesians 4:32

Every-Member Ministry
We believe every Christian is equipped by God for ministry. Though God ultimately suits His children for heaven, he leaves us on earth for a time in order to do good works, which He has prepared for us to do. Therefore, we seek to encourage and enable everyone in our fellowship to experience the joy and significance of discovering and fulfilling the ministry for which God has designed and equipped them.
From [Christ] the whole body [that is, the Church], joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. —Eph. 4:16

Missions and the Great Commission
We believe the basic mission for every church is to make obedient disciples of all nations. Therefore, we seek to heavily invest, personally and financially, in ministry to the un-reached and under-reached peoples of the world, both locally and abroad.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. —Matthew 28:19-20
